H. H. Kashinathbuva received the legacy of music from his father Pandharinathbuva and spent his entire life in performing Kirtan (religious narration).Owing to a powerful voice and mastery over verses from Bhagavadgeeta, Bhagavat, ancient aphorisms and devotional songs sung by saints, his presentations were always very effective. He also taught music at Nutan Mahavidyalaya for some time. The musical parts of his kirtans were usually based on classical ragas due to the legacy of music and his supremacy in the art of kirtan. He travelled widely for these programmes. He was highly honoured among the participants visiting Goa festival in which he participated for fifteen years at a stretch.

H. H.  Kashinathbuva’s kirtans were held in almost all temples in Pune.
